The Holiday Festival of Lights
James Island County Park plays host to this Lowcountry tradition of fabulous light displays sponsored by local businesses. The beloved tradition combines holiday music with spectacular holiday light displays. This being a unique year for the event, the experience has been tailored to provide you all of the enjoyment from the safety of your own vehicle including concessions. Admission is charged by car and can be paid in advance or at the gate. A favorite attraction for many in the area, if you’ve never been this should be the year you change that.
The Holiday Parade of Boats
This incredibly unique parade takes place in Charleston Harbor. Boat owners from all over the area decorate their boats for the season and parade to the delight of spectators on the shore. The event itself is free and visible from multiple areas. Though you should make note that some of the viewing areas charge admission.
Christmas on the Battery
This very special event occurs at the historic Edmonston-Alston house. An evening of holiday magic, exceptional decorations, Christmas carols, and holiday stories from the Gullah tradition, the ticketed event will comply with CDC guidelines this year. Combine the history of Charleston with the majesty of the season at this incredible event.
